Dr. Gordhan Das Valasai

Biography

Gordhan Das Valasai holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in energy systems modeling and renewable energy. He has more than fourteen years of academic and research experience, during which he has led integrated energy modeling projects, contributed to international research collaborations, and published 31 articles on sustainable power generation, decarbonization, policy analysis, hydrogen systems, and energy security for developing economies. His published work has attracted more than 2,000 citations and carries an h-index of 15. His current research focuses on hydrogen integration and hydrogen corridor modeling at national, regional, and global scales. He holds a €22,000 TÜBİTAK fellowship and has completed specialized training in energy system flexibility analysis using the international modeling tools OSeMOSYS, MAED, and CLEWs. He is proficient in TIMES, LEAP, HOMER, and Python and Julia based optimization frameworks. He has supervised 10 theses and mentored over 50 students in renewable energy projects.
