With a PhD in Process & Bioprocess Engineering from the University of Nantes, France, his research and professional portfolio reflect a seamless integration of chemical engineering fundamentals with sustainable energy innovation. His doctoral work focused on solar-driven microalgae bioenergy systems and passive thermal regulation technologies, achieving breakthroughs in CO₂-to-biofuel conversion and energy optimization in photobioreactors. Prior to that, Dr. Mangi completed his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Mehran UET, Pakistan, equipping him with strong foundations in thermal systems, process design, and industrial applications. At QUEST Nawabshah, Dr. Mangi has served as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, where he has played a pivotal role in program accreditations, curriculum reforms, and the launch of research initiatives focused on energy and environment. He successfully secured grants, led collaborative projects, and mentored students and faculty, contributing to over 25 research publications in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals, focusing on chemical engineering, renewable energy systems, CO₂ mitigation technologies, and environmental sustainability. His work has appeared in respected outlets such as Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and the Journal of Cleaner Production. These publications reflect experimental and modeling contributions, particularly in solar thermal systems, bioprocess engineering, and sustainable energy transition pathways. Many of these studies are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and some have emerged from collaborative international projects across Europe, China, and the Middle East". Dr. Mangi’s global exposure spans Europe, the Middle East, and China, where he has actively engaged with academic, policy, and industry stakeholders. He has represented Pakistan and his institutions at international platforms such as the Global Solutions Summit, ACS MENA Summit (Qatar), and European Congress of Chemical Engineering, fostering global dialogues on energy transition, climate resilience, and chemical process innovation. As Secretary of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Pakistan Chapter, Dr. Mangi has been instrumental in organizing international conferences for sustainable development programs and strengthening regional collaborations across academia and industry. He maintains active memberships with the French Society of Process Engineering and is a licensed professional under the Pakistan Engineering Council. With professional fluency in English and French and working knowledge of German, Dr. Mangi continues to expand his international network to advance research, education, and policy in the nexus of chemical engineering, clean energy, and environmental innovation.
