Dr. Ahsanullah Soomro is a dedicated academic and accomplished researcher with over 15 years of professional experience in the fields of energy and environmental engineering. He is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Türkiye, under the prestigious ECO-SPHERE Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, co-funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and TÜBİTAK.
Prior to this role, Dr. Soomro held several key academic and administrative positions at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, Pakistan. These included Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chairman of the Chemistry Department, and Incharge Chairman as well as Associate Professor in the Environmental Engineering Department. He earned his PhD in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
Dr. Soomro’s research focuses on biofuels, pyrolysis and gasification technologies, CO₂ capture, hydrogen production, and environmental sustainability. He has authored over 20 publications in SCI-indexed journals and has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences. Additionally, he has actively contributed to the organization of academic events and the promotion of collaborative research.
