Biography

Dr. Inayatullah Kakepoto is an eminent academician renowned for his extensive teaching experience across college and university levels, showcasing his dedicated efforts towards excellence in higher education of the province. He is serving as Professor English (BPS-21) at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology Nawabshah, actively working to fulfill vision and mission of the university by imparting quality education and fostering scholarly research in his field of expertise i.e., Language & Communication. He began his professional career from Cadet College Petaro (Pakistan Navy) as a Lecturer in English marking his entry into the educational sector in 1998. He earned Doctoral degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) where his research project focused on ‘Identifying Communication Barriers of Engineering Students of Pakistan for Workplace Environment’. He is an HEC PhD Approved Supervisor specializing in Applied Linguistics, with a proven track record of mentoring Doctoral students who have successfully earned PhD degrees in 2024-2025. He is a seasoned author having authored 49 research papers primarily published in HEC-recognized journals. He is Member National Curriculum Review Committee (NCRC-HEC), Member Editorial and Advisory Boards, and Peer reviewer of various research journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. He owns rich wealth of administrative experience having served as Dean Quality Enhancement Cell, Chairman Department of Basic Sciences & Related Studies, and In-charge English Language Centre. He is Member Statutory Forums i.e., Member Syndicate ‘The Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur’ and Member Academic Council ‘The University of Larkano’ both distinctions conferred by Honorable Chief Minister Sindh. His extensive involvement in key governing bodies across his institution and sister universities serving as Member Senate, Academic Council, Board of Faculty, Board of Studies, and Selection Boards underscores his significant influence in shaping academic policies and strategic decisions within the higher education landscape of the province. In 2025, he was shortlisted and interviewed for the position of Vice-Chancellor of Public Sector Universities of Sindh by Search Committee Sindh Higher Education Commission, Government of Sindh indicating recognition of his academic and administrative credentials and suitability for leading higher education institutions in the region.
